Daniel Webster's great-grandson, Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte (1878–1945), unveiled Webster's statue in Scott Circle, Washington, DC in 1900. His parents were Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte II and Caroline Leroy Appleton Edgar, who were the great-grandson and great-granddaughter of Jerome Bonaparte and Daniel Webster respectively.

Daniel Webster's Daughter Julia Webster (1818 - 1848) married Samuel Augustus Appleton (1811 - 1861). Their Daughter Caroline Leroy Appleton (Edgar) (1840 - 1911) married Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte (1830 - 1893) and Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte (1878 - 1945) was their son.

Elizabeth “Betsy” Patterson married Napoleon Bonaparte's younger brother, Jerome, although their marriage was declared null and void at Napoleon's request. Their son Jerome Napoleon “Bo” Bonaparte (1805 - 1870) married Susan May Williams (1812 - 1881). Their son Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte (1830 - 1893) married Caroline Leroy Appleton (Edgar) (1840 - 1911) and their son was Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte (1878 - 1945).
A notice in the New York Times entitled A Notable Wedding describes the wedding of Caroline Appleton Edgar and Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte (1830 - 1893) and discusses their lineage.
