Attempted Suicide

Valley Mills, Tex., Sept. 22. —
Isaac Brock, who claims to be 114 years old, made an attempt to suicide Tuesday night with Laudanum. When he discovered that he had not taken enough to do the work he made an effort to take his life with his pocket knife, but was discovered and disarmed before doing any damage. His daughter was drowned in the Bosque while bathing last spring, which has preyed on his mind until life is not worth living.
