         For Group Pictures

Mr. Congressman had his picture taken today. He had it taken with his hat on and with his hat off. He had it taken grouped on the grass plot at the east front of the Capitol and he had it taken spread all over the front steps of the Capitol

About two-thirds of the membership of the House were gathered for a group picture at the east front of the Capitol just before the House was called into session. Permission for a panoramic photograph had been given by the Speaker.

Speaker Clark. “Uncle Joe” Cannon, Miss Jeanette Rankin and other picturesque characters in the lower House of Congress had conspicuous places in the group. Quite a large gathering of sightseers including many men in uniform were interested spectators at the ceremony of taking a springtime picture of Congress.
