Rev. Sandy Alexander, at One Time Daniel Webster's Servant, Quite Feeble.
Rev. Sandy Alexander, the aged pastor of the First Baptist Church, colored is confined to his house by infirmities incident to old age. While the Rev. Mr. Alexander holds the title of pastor of the church, for some time the active duties that devolve upon the head of a church, have been performed by an assistant. Rev. Sandy Alexander has been a conspicuous figure in Georgetown for a number of years, where his devotion to church work has been most marked. Even though infirmity has sat heavily upon him, he has made a special effort at all times to attend services and administer to the unfortunate. When a young man, Rev. Alexander was Daniel Webster's personal servant.
