Miss Ream's Statue of Lincoln.

In 1866 Congress appropriated $10,000 for a full-length statue of Mr. Lincoln. Miss Ream, of Washington city, received the commission for its execution. The work was finished in 1870, and on its completion an additional $5,000 was obtained by her from Congress. Roose's Companion, 1876 p. 27.
